The MusicBox controls
Once the music is in place, the MusicBox is driven without a phone. That is what lets a child use it alone.
There is one dial and four buttons, and that is all.
- Previous playlist
- Previous track
- Next playlist
- Next track
- Volume, and play/pause on click
- Light bar
- 01
The dial
Turn it to set the volume. Each detent is worth ten steps, and the light bar shows the level for a second and a half before fading.
Press it to pause, press again to resume.
- 02
The four buttons
They come in pairs, but interleaved: the two on the left go back, the two on the right go forward.
In physical order, the first goes to the previous playlist, the second to the previous track, the third to the next playlist and the fourth to the next track.
Playlists wrap around: after the last one you are back at the first.

What does not exist
There is no long press and no double press. Each button does one thing, on a single push. That is deliberate: a child does not guess a long press.
